Meet AHUA's 2025-26 Board!

Co-President
Ashley Yang
Hello everyone! My name is Ashley Yang (she/her) and I am a fourth year Art History and Anthropology double major. I look forward to serving as AHUA’s Co-president alongside Tabi this year! As Co-president, our job is to make sure everything in the club runs smoothly and to lead our weekly general meetings. We also plan AHUA’s annual art exhibition and coordinate collaborations with UCI’s art history professors and other clubs. I joined AHUA last year because I was looking to connect with other Art History majors and make friends with fellow art lovers, and I can definitely say that I’ve found a wonderful and welcoming community in the club. I hope I can continue to provide that kind of environment to all of our new members this year as president and make AHUA a place where everyone can feel welcome and express their interest in all things art-related!

Co-President
Tabitha Jang
Hi!! My name is Tabitha Jang (she/her) and I’m a third year Art History and Urban Studies double major. This year, I’m excited to be one of AHUA’s presidents alongside Ashley! Together, we oversee club operation, bridging all aspects of the UCI community. Among other things, we make sure our weekly meetings, museum trips, spring exhibition, and fundraisers run smoothly. I have deeply enjoyed my experience at AHUA, getting to participate as both a general member in my first year and a board member in my second year. The members of AHUA come together in their shared passion for the arts and I’ve gotten to meet many lovely and kind people these past two years!

Treasurer
Maya Villalobos
Hi everyone! My name is Maya Villalobos (she/her), I’m a fourth year Business Administration Major and I’ll be the Treasurer for AHUA this year! I am responsible for managing our club finances! This includes managing club membership, budgets, and requests for funding. This is my third year on AHUA board, and I’m so happy to give it one last run! I’ve met some of my closest friends through this club. I really appreciate how welcoming everyone is, your major really doesn’t matter, as long as you’re an art lover!

Events Director
Emi Mangalindan
Hi everyone! My name is Emi Mangalindan (she/her), I’m a third year Art and Art History double major and I will be serving as AHUA’s Events Director for this year! As Events Director I am responsible for coordinating all of AHUA’s events for the year, including all of our museum trips, fundraisers, collaborations with other clubs, and working on our annual spring exhibition with the rest of AHUA board. The events that AHUA host and provide was what initially interested me when joining the club, and I am so excited to be able to provide that for new and continuing members this year! I am very grateful to AHUA as it has not only provided me with a sense of community and guidance in the Art History field, but has also been a source of great friendships. I’m excited to continue building this community and the friendships and connections it cultivates.

Social Media Coordinator
Arianna Louie
Hi everyone! My name is Arianna (she/her), I’m a third year Art History and Urban Studies major and I’ll be the Social Media Coordinator for AHUA this year! As Social Media Coordinator, I’ll be managing the social media for AHUA and helping to create the graphics/quarterly recaps videos. Along with working on social media, I’ll also be working with our lovely Historian (Mags) and Event Director (Emi) on the new AHUA zine and other club collaborations. I’m so excited for this role and do feel free to suggest any ideas for the zine or AHUA’s social media that you want to see! I’m always down to chat! I’m so happy to be a part of AHUA! This club has provided not only amazing career guidance and experiences with art history but also beautiful friendships. I hope to continue to build more connections and community in AHUA!

Historian
Magdalena Solorio
Hello everyone! My name is Magdalena Solorio and I am a fourth year bio sci major. I will be acting as the club's historian this year! As the historian I am responsible for documenting all of the special moments that happen in the club such as our general meetings, club trips like our museum trips, and other club-related events. I am also in charge of updating the AHUA website with new announcements of the club and collaborating with the rest of the publicity team to bring you guys recaps and a zine at the end of the year! I am thrilled to be a part of AHUA’s board this year and get to spread some of the kindness that was given to me when I joined. I have made such a sense of community with the members of this club and I have enjoyed all the memories I’ve made as a member of this club. I have found that no matter your major, AHUA is still just as welcoming because everyone who’s joined has joined because of their love for the arts. I can’t wait to continue what AHUA has been doing by making more memories and spreading more laughs this year!

Secretary
Sofia Babiera
What’s up everyone! My name is Sofia (she/her) and I’m currently in my fourth year studying Art History. I’ll be serving as your Secretary, which entails writing our newsletter so that our members can receive weekly recaps of our board meetings, events, and any special announcements that we may have! I’ll also be helping out with making meeting slides, preparing our sign-up sheets, and managing the discord. I’m happy to serve as a means of communication between the board and our members, so please feel free to come up and chat whenever! I am so glad to be a part of AHUA because it gave me so many special memories and the ability to interact with others in a way I’d never got to before. I hope to keep this ball rolling and continue to connect with more and more people!
